Fostering a new wave of research and community in subtle energy, biofield therapies, and consciousness-based healing
The Consciousness and Energy Research Fellowship’s mission is to advance and scale the understanding of subtle energy, biofield therapies, and consciousness-based healing through rigorous research by fostering and supporting a global community of emerging and established researchers.
Research Grants
We support researchers who use rigorous scientific methods and open science practices to explore how subtle energy, biofield therapies, and consciousness-based healing can deepen our understanding of health and healing.
Our fellowship program is designed to accelerate research in these areas by providing four grants of up to $50,000 for early career researchers on a biennial basis and by fostering a supportive community around the fellows to explore how these largely untapped avenues can expand current models of wellbeing.
Community Building
We recognize that the science of subtle energy, biofield therapies, and consciousness-based healing is in its early stages. To facilitate the flourishing of the field, we bring together experts spanning physics, neuroscience, clinical research, and anthropology, among other disciplines, to build a strong research community.
Our community-building efforts include regular convenings, collaborative working groups, and yearly conferences that foster dialogue across disciplines.
Mentorship
Successful fellows will receive ongoing mentorship from leading experts in the field and will be invited to attend our exclusive research conference. Mentors will support each fellow’s work and help inspire, inform, and guide them toward future frontier research and professional development.
We believe it is essential that the knowledge, experience, and wisdom of established researchers be shared with the next generation. Mentorship is a core component of this program and plays a vital role in supporting, nourishing, and advancing fellows’ research and professional development.

Phenomena Healing was created by the non-profit Merraki Media and the Subtle Energy Funders Collective to thoughtfully explore energy healing, using rigorous scientific inquiry, in an endeavor to help reduce suffering and promote greater wellbeing. "Merraki" is a Greek word that means “doing something purely for the love of it."
